Our Mission
Our mission is to prevent pet surrender by helping families with the resources they need to keep their pets at home โ while providing safe rehoming assistance when keeping a pet is no longer possible.
Our Vision
The best place for a loved pet is with the family who loves them. Chance Shelter exists to help make that possible. And when that isnโt possible, we help create a safe next chance.
What We Do
Chance Shelter is a community-based nonprofit working to keep pets and the people who love them together. Through veterinary assistance, spay/neuter services, pet food and supply assistance, crisis support, education, and community outreach, we help families overcome challenges and keep their pets healthy, safe, and at home. When keeping a pet is no longer possible, we also provide responsible rehoming assistance.
Why We Do It
Chance Shelter believes that being proactive in the city of Surprise will show that our city is on board with other valley communities in the awareness that we have to do our part to help prevent the neglect, abuse and overpopulation of animals.
