Remember me? My name is Trey, I received my name back when I was first found with my siblings after we were tossed out. My leg was broken and the veterinarian thought I may need to lose my leg. My siblings and I were very sick, but a nice lady took very good care of us. Then after I was feeling a little better I got to meet another veterinarian and she said I could keep my leg. This makes me very happy, now I can run and play with my siblings! I will keep my name because it sounds pretty cool!
Trey is a 13 week old male. He is neutered with up to date shots and a negative FELV testing. Trey is one of the 5 kittens tossed out. Trey was very sick and had signs of a broken leg. He was taken to the veterinarian with his siblings and they were placed on 3 different medications for 4 weeks. During their visit an x-ray was done on Trey’s leg. It was determined at the time that it would be best to amputate his leg. Because Trey was so sick the surgery could not take place until he was symptom free. Within the coming weeks as he and his siblings were showing signs of improvement we had noticed that Trey began using his leg more often and actually bearing weight on it. We had some wonderful people come forward with donations for these 5 kittens. We decided to use the donations towards a second opinion. This turned out to be a great decision. The second opinion and new x-ray showed that Trey’s leg managed to grow back together at such a fast rate that amputation was no longer needed.. Although Trey’s leg will probably never be 100%. He is able to keep it and continues to thrive and strengthen it. He is so love-able and likes to cuddle on a lap. A pure joy to add in a good home. Trey is ready for adoption! If you would like to meet Trey, please fill out the adoption application on this website.
