Chance Shelter offers a unique service to our community: We were specifically created to be a go-to resource for first responders when animals are involved in crisis situations. Because in actuality, first responders are the ones who will be needing a resource for the pet on scene if there is no family member or friend to assist with the pet. A crisis for a person/family is typically also a crisis for their pet.

We take care of the pet so first responders can focus on the people. We are not a public intake, and we are not trying tackle the issue of strays. This area of pet rescue is respectfully already being taken care of through our Surprise Animal Care and Control.
