We are so proud to be living in a city that has such caring young students.
A 12 year old Surprise student, Kaitlyn O’Connor, recently embarked on a mission to obtain donations for Chance Shelter. Kaitlyn visited several local retail merchants asking for contributions for the shelter. On April 22 she presented Audra Colson, CEO and Bob Estep, Foster Committee Co-chair with the donated items. Thank you Kaitlyn and the merchants who so kindly responded to her request. ■
This was Kaitlyn’s assignment;
*Class – Character Education – Assignment: “Community Service”
Kaitlyn: “My wish is to support the Chance Shelter as I have a passion to support animals in need. Thank you for your support of Chance Shelter and your assistance with my school project. All donations are appreciated.”
Respectfully,
Kaitlyn O’Connor – 7th Grade
