This adorable, sweet boy is Fitz. Luckily for him a caring man named Andrew came along just in time. We are glad to help find Fitz his new family. Here’s Andrew’s story on how he found Fitz. You can meet Fitz at our Pet Fest Event on Nov. 19 from 11-3 at Pet Club on Bell Road in Surprise, AZ or for more information call Andrew at 480-600-7928.
“I was driving to work one morning and this little guy and another dog were dodging traffic. People got out to save the dogs from a couple of near misses, but only this guy wanted to be caught. He jumped in my car with a desperate look on his face. I didn’t know what to do with him! I only knew that he needed immediate medical attention. So I called in sick and took him to the vet. He was covered head-to-toe in ticks. They removed all of the ticks, tested him for every kind of illness, and took him to the groomer for a spa wash and tick dip. What a difference!
The little guy had been on the street for a long time. The doctor said he was 30 lbs and about 2 years old. The doctor said the he would have died soon had I not stumbled upon him that day. I put up signs and posted on websites for an owner, but unfortunately, no luck.
He is the friendliest happiest little dog I’ve ever seen! My wife and I have a dog that doesn’t like other dogs, a cat, and a brand new baby. We can’t keep him in our home. Although I walk him every day, he’s been quarantined in our guest bathroom. We just dont have the room! This guy needs a loving family so he can live out the rest of his long life getting lots of hugs and kisses. We’ve been calling him Fitz!”
