Chance Shelter was so thankful to be invited to be a part of Fire Station 304’s open house event! What a wonderful opportunity for folks in the community to come out and meet the firefighters and the facility that they are housed in. Chance Shelter was there to introduce ourselves! We had activity books and treats for the kids, brochures and examples on Disaster Preparedness. Offering volunteer, foster and adoption opportunities to the community.
Lots of photo opportunities and firefighter hats and stickers. People came to interact with the Surprise Fire & Medical Crisis Response Team and Valley Vista High School’s Fire Science students in a mock house fire drill. Helping children and parents organize an escape plan in case of a Fire. Also, an exciting landing demonstration by Halo 151! There were handouts, tour of the Fire Station, and a chance for the kids to shake firefighters hands.
